In a world devastated by the human loss and suffering of war, and the environmental destruction caused by war, the International Peace Group is here to sow the seeds of peace. Our work — building economic stability and justice with the Magarini Center, teaching Healing History worldwide, providing low-income counseling through the Rivers Way clinic, and training people in Process Oriented Psychology at the Process Work Center Hawaii — are some of the different projects that directly address issues of peace and justice.
The International Peace Group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, supported by donations received worldwide from donors who support our efforts to create lasting peace in the world.
Our world needs a non-profit that is itself wholistic and addresses issues of world peace on many levels and from many different angles. From the farmland of the Magarini Center to the streets of Israel and Palestine and other countries that engage in war, we are there. Wherever the world calls, International Peace Group answers with a resounding “Yes — we are here to help.”

The organizational structure is a Director position who runs daily operations and is hired by and serves under the guidance of the Board of Directors.
All board members joined in 2015, each serving a three-year term with possible renewal. We are in the process of expanding our board.
Our board brings decades of practice across conflict transformation, human rights, therapy, education, and community organizing.
Dr. Gary Reiss is the director of the International Peace Group. He is the founder of the Healing History Project, the founder and director of Rivers Way, and the director of the Process Work Center Hawaii. He has a private practice and teaches worldwide. He is the author of 14 books and has been teaching Process Work for over 40 years.
Ibrahim Hamide is a long-time activist in the Eugene community. He is a member of the Eugene Human Rights Commission, past president of the Eugene Middle East Peace Group, and has been given many awards by the city of Eugene for his human rights efforts.
Aloha! My name is Sage Emery. Welcome to our International Peace Group about-us page. We have so many projects we are involved in around the world. The most important aspect of my life is the service to humanity. I have a passion and purpose to assist in improving the well-being of humanity. The value I hold dear to my heart is increasing love in the heart of everyone I serve.
I am dedicated on many levels to help individuals, couples, and communities internationally raise their consciousness out of trauma to a place where people can heal and become community members who, together, can have a positive influence on raising the consciousness of this planet.
One of my greatest passions is our partnership with the Magarini Children Centre and Organic Farming Demonstration Farm in Kenya. I have been dedicated to this project since 2014. Through the International Peace Group, we have helped create a school for orphans and extremely disadvantaged children who have lost one or two of their parents and live in extreme poverty. The centre currently has about 400 children — check out the page.
I love being a therapist and a supervisor in our low-income mental health clinic, Rivers Way Community Clinic. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a certification in the Second Training of Process Oriented Therapy. I have spent 30 years learning how to be a therapist through my inner connection to spirit. My real passion is helping people heal, learn to love themselves, and create a life filled with joy and purpose. Gary and I teach internationally in many different countries, helping people learn the tools needed to heal individual trauma, ancestral trauma, and collective trauma. As trauma is healed, a person’s passions and path become more available to them, allowing them to lead a life that is true to their heart and soul.
